Up side:
Many of our neighbors have been nice people.
Maintenance is excellent. We even had our dishwasher replaced with a brand new one when it went bad. The snow removal is fast and complete. The grounds are nothing spectacular, but are nice. A lot of money has been spent here recently to improve the place including a new playground, and repainting. All of the staff have been nice.
Down side:
We are leaving after one year because our rent was raised to 1045, an increase of $135 in a slumping market. We found that a little insulting. For this price we would like to be closer to the city.
Many of the tenants here are government subsidized. This comes with some drawbacks as people who do not pay for their housing do not keep it as well.
A number of strange things have happened in this complex in the past year or two, including an attempted rape, a murder (it was not a random act however), and a drunk driver crashing his van into the pool area while people were there. We also had some teens causing problems but they seem to be gone.
Many have complained about the noise, but that is par for the course.
