Hey, these are not luxury apartments but they have their nice points. HUGE closets is one. I m quite comfortable. The management is very nice and friendly. They work hard and do a lot given the small staff.
If you are looking for a place where people are reasonable, willing to go the extra mile (When was the last time YOUR complex manager personally lugged a piece of furniture up to YOUR apartment because it got delivered when you were not home, he had no room to store it and he didn't want it to get rained on' Will your office manager feed your cat for you if you re away for the weekend' I value these things more highly than instant repairs on things I can live without for a little while, or plush carpets)
Squire Village is a Golden Rule sort of place. Be nice, play fair, and you ll find that the powers that be will be nice and play fair with you.
It is also one of the few places in the area where I never worry that my 'stuff' will get stolen or otherwise messed with.
FYI - this is an update of my original review. I've raised my ratings a bit now that I have been here over a year.
PS: October 2007
There is now a sidewalk (town issue, not Squire Village issue) in one of the nicest areas to go for a walk here. BIG IMPROVEMENT! And I agree with other raters - there is lots to do, easy access to Amherst (free and frequent buses) but much more of a quite country feel right in this neighborhood. All that taken into account, I have to raise my rating once again.
Also - the bigger shrubs (there were only a few) that covered windows have been replaced or trimmed back - so now safty is AAA
