I can't say enough good things about Squire Village and especially the people who work here! I've lived here for two years now and I'm happier than ever.
I count myself lucky every day to live here, not only because the space is a bargain for the money, but also because the people who work here go above and beyond all the time. I agree, there's no way they sleep! Anytime anything has broken, malfunctioned or even aged beyond its usefulness they have fixed or replaced willingly, in some cases before I even realized it was a problem. They are there to consult on all sorts of home owner questions, which is really helpful for me since this is my first place. They even help out on things that are clearly NOT their job. They are so wonderful, I hope they never leave!
I'll address some complaints that I read. First: some complain that this is not student housing... it is student housing, most of the tenants here are students, it just happens that there are families here too and that the students who live here (for the most part) are quiet and studious. This makes for a very nice friendly and safe place to live for people of all ages.
Second: that the buildings are old. Yes, they are old, they were built in the 70's I think, but they are excellently maintained and if you ever have any problem at all the maintenance staff is on it right away!
Combine all that with the fact that Squire Village is right on the PVTA bus line which means free transportation to campus and into town, and that it has a playground, a pool, on sight laundry (and a nearby laundramat) and it's hands down the best place to live in the area!
