horrible experience

Our experience here has gotten progressively worse, and I cannot wait until we can leave. The management has been increasingly hostile, "losing" payment, threatening eviction for not paying ad hoc fees, and are generally uncommunicative when confronted.
The building is falling apart. None of the windows open/close correctly, both sinks leak constantly, and the interior folding doors fall off their tracks more than they stay on. Also, the light in the stairwell was out for weeks, and now it hums loudly enough to be heard anywhere in the apartment.
Finally, the management has decided to upgrade our cable and phone service for us. A serviceman is expected tomorrow to install new jacks we neither want nor need. A letter arrived out of the blue letting us know that all furniture on several walls needs to be moved for this project. Where, I have no idea, because the apartment is so small.
In short, do not live here. It is too expensive and the management will make you regret it.
