We lived at Sugarloaf for four AWFUL years. If you move in you'll need this phone number: 665-7036. That's the Sunderland Police Department.

Half the tenants here are SCUMBAGS who urinate in the parking lot and smoke and drink and swear all day/night. You will get NO REST. The office won't dop anything because they can't. It's easier to let good tenants leave than to evict the scumbags who live here. So the rest of us finally get pushed out. The place is getting worse by the day. They're aiming for 100% occupancy so now they allow anyone and everyone to move in. So expect fights and trash and swearing at any time of the day or night.

This place is run by a huge corporation that owns 30 complexes. The office staff have no authority to do anything but lease apartments and accept rent checks. Ergo: you will get NO service here. If anything breaks (and it will) you'll get fast service but it will be with the same dumpy parts. Our so-called NEW washer dryer was 9 years old and broke FREQUENTLY. Our dishwasher was more than 20 years old! We wrote to Sears with the serial number and asked because it broke down so often. Same with the fridge!! Maintenance staff will tell you how mad they are at the head office because they can't replace anything. When they put in purchase orders to request new parts they get denied. Thus, everything is held together with a prayer. This place is falling apart!! Not bad for $1050 a month!!!

Oh, they also charge illegal fees when you move in and illegal pet rent. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and threatened to sue so I got my money back. I hope everyone there will do the same.

Don't live here. Take your time and find a nice duplex in Amherst or Northampton. NEVER live at Sugarloaf or any other apartment complex in the Amherst area. RUN RUN RUN AWAY!

Some people want to move away from places but can't afford to, or can't find another, better apartment, I don't think that the length of time lived somewhere is an indication of their satisfaction with an apartment complex.

no kiddng i resigned for another year just because i dont want to deal with moving because its such a pain. but the place sucks. its the worst place ive ever lived. nothing ever is as promised. snow removal sucks. internet (when you have it) is slow and have to hit refresh seven times. we currently have not had water...yea...running water for the toilet, shower, sinks, washer...for about 36 hours and now its hooked up to a temporary supply aka a fire hose. just because i hate it doesnt mean i feel like dealing with moving..
