This is a bad choice

Sugarloaf is close to the worst apartment I've ever lived in, and no doubt the most expensive one.

I've lived here for 1.5 years.

During winter last year, my thermostat has a component that failed (the component is called zone valve), and for the entire winter I had to manually turn heat on and off to control the temperature.

Called them at least 6 times to have this fixed.

Every time they told me it's fixed but it's not! That was a horrible, horrible winter.

As Spring came near, they finally fixed that, so I thought ok, I can stay here for another year.

That turned out to be a horrible decision.

I found that my neighbor downstairs smokes in bathroom, almost everyday.

I am becoming a second-hand smoker.

When I called the leasing office, the answer I got from them is: they do not allow renters to smoke in public area, but it's OK at their home.

I am curious: doesn't that impose fire risks' One last thing: you may have heard that during a week in March, there was a water break here, 4 buildings had no water, at all.

After the problem was fixed, they even put a notice which says the tap water must be boiled to drink.

That stayed for several days.

I am really fed up with living here, I am moving out in May.

They didn't fix your heat cause a new zone valve costs like 100 bucks and they don't wanna pay a dime towards any of us, no matter how much its their fault. It took so long to fix the water cause they didn't wanna pay their maintenance crew overtime.

I suggest that everyone who lives at Sugarloaf call Sunderland health department every time you have a problem with the scumbags who manage the place: Please call Cindy Bennett at 665.1441, for appointments and concerns.
