The front office staff is incompetent, extremely dishonest, lazy, and rude. You'll have to interrupt their personal telephone conversations if you want to put in a service request, ask a question, or pick up a package. They act like they're doing you a favor. My family and I have lived here for two years now and they still don't know our names (very impersonal). They lack ALL customer service skills as well as basic etiquette.

In regards to the apartments, stock up on homeowners (renters) insurance since numerous apartments have been flooded recently due to broken water lines and fire sprinkler pipes. This has happened several times! Maintenance is doing a good job, unfortunately they are overwhelmed. The apartments have paper thin walls so you can hear your upstairs and downstairs neighbors constantly. This poor construction also leads to huge bills in order to heat and cool your apartment.

Amenities have been cut back concerning the use of clubhouse facilities (which is an additional fee), however, no money is being refunded to the tenants for this penny pinching step. The pool is never open, so don't let them fool you into thinking otherwise. My husband has even witnessed a former Archstone employee drinking beer with her boyfriend(s) in the TV room and pool area while on duty, so supervision and safety is also on the low end of Archstone's priorities.

In general, if you'd like to pay a premium dollar for not much in return, this is the place to be. Just be ready to be gouged out of all your hard earned money. Thankfully, our lease is up in the spring and we will be moving into our own home AWAY from Archstone.

We will be informing all our neighbors (like our neighbor did for us) about this website, in order for them to voice their opinions concerning Archstone.
