Steer Clear!

Two of the management staff are consistently rude and act as if they are doing you, the paying tenant, a favor when you ask them for the service you're entitled to (e.g., retrieving a package dropped off at clubhouse by UPS). The rent is well above market rate - you could live in Brookline for what they charge. The apartment is fine, but their lease terms are inflexible and do not reflect the fact that they have seen a lot of turnover and a lot of vacancies in the past six months. We wanted to extend our lease indefinitely and offered several options that would benefit both us and the company, but we were summarily rejected. Our choices were to pay the 10% rent preium (off already high rent), or sign another 12 month lease which requires one month's rent if broken. They obviously were not concerned with retaining a good, paying tenant.
The policies are annoying - packages are left at the office, but you can never get over there to retrive them because the office opens at 9 and closes at 6. I don't know about you, but I work for a living and it's not easy to get home before six. Sometimes the office is closed inexplicably up to an hour early, or it opens an hour (or more) late. Management is full of excuses and indignation. Overall, I recommend you look at apartments in two-families, where the landlord will appreciate your business and consider your individual needs.
People let their kids run all over the complex like wild animals. They run in and out of parked cars in the parking lot and jump off the transformer box. The kid in our hallway rode his bike and played tennis in the hall at all hours, with his parents right there with him. It's ridiculous.
