I've lived here in a 1 BR for 2 years and overall have really enjoyed it. It's a 3-tier complex on the west side of Bear Hill, and I was living on the middle tier. Highs: Great location, it seems like it's only a 20 minute drive to anywhere from here. Grounds are very well maintained. Maintenance has been very responsive for the few issues I had. The apartment has been very quiet. The Townhouse/Condo style tends to keep noise down. Neighbors are primarily professionals and some well-funded students. It's a very upscale clientele here (just check out the types of cars parked in the driveways). 24-hour fitness room with top-flight equipment has been very welcome. It's also a very safe place to live. I am recently divorced and have two daughters that are with me frequently. Safety was a big concern for me, and it has been ideal that way. Lows: The price. It's brutally expensive here. The 1 BR price is up to $1800/month, and that covers rent only. Also, as mentioned in other posts, the winter driving can be a bit of an adventure. I've personally not been able to make it up to my place a few times at night when it had snowed, and that was after plowing. It's a gated community, which can be a hassle if you don't have your gate opener and it's 2am. Sometimes takes a while to get let in. Summary: I would highly recommend this place, if you can afford it. I'm moving out only because it's become too expensive.
