Overall, I'm not sure you'll ever find a perfect apartment place to live, and Archstone Waltham isn't awful or perfect, it's just inconsistent.

It seems that the rent prices change randomly, when I've gone into the office to pick up packages, or have checked online, the prices fluctuate drastically from day to day and month-to-month. It doesn't seem quite fair as all of the apartments are the same.

The staff has been changing just as readily as the rent too. I think there has been 4 or 5 different people in the management team, and it seems like the ones who actually do something end up disappearing.

The maintenance generally responds to service requests, although in the past I've come home to find that essentially nothing has been done, or it's been suggested that there was no problem to begin with--this is frustrating.

The pool is seldom open consistent hours, last year it was open some but it would be closed random days--this year is worse.

There are a lot of dogs on the property, and while the dogs themselves don't bother me, the lawns, etc. are littered with their waste.

It's nice having the fitness center on-site, but the machines are often broken, or being replaced.

It's just about time for me to renew my lease and although I wish it was a more consistent place to live, I'll probably end up staying unless I can find a better place in the area, and I think with such low standards all around you're not going to find anything decent for a good price...
