Nice and quiet location....if that's what you're looking for

I've lived at Charlesbank Garden Apts for over 2 years, and enjoyed my stay here. It's not to say there aren't cons to this place, but let's start with the pros.
Pros:
1) Very reasonable to low rent for Waltham. I had a larger 1 bed apartment for the price
2) Access to I-95 and Mass Pike in one minute
3) Commuter rail stop at Brandeis is a one-minute walk!
4) Maintenance is very prompt and usually gets things fixed the day you report a problem....if you report it in the morning, that is :)
5) The area is very quiet, plenty of families w/ kids live here and it's not noisy.
6) Parking! I've hosted 20 people at my place once for a party (ok, so my place might have been a tad noisy that night) and there was enough parking for everyone!
7) Management! Donna and Kathy are extremely adept and friendly too. The area is well landscaped in the summer, and snow removal is frequent in the winter.
Cons:
1) There isn't much to do right around here. No coffee shops or restaurants right by the complex. There are tennis courts and a field nearby, but you pretty much have to drive to get anything or go anyplace (an ATM is next door though). I pretty much used my place as a pitstop between work and the city sometimes.
2) Apartments may be a little older. Mine had lower rent than a neighbor's but had a kitchen with older appliances and no dishwasher (which I was fine with)
That's it! Just one major con for me, but the place made up for that with the low rent. Personally, I like to head to the city to party it up but return to a quiet place where I can feel at home. Charlesbank Garden was perfect for this. Some of my friends like to stay in a more 'happening' part of town with everything right around where they live. They also spend a lot more than I do on just rent! So it really depends on what you're looking for.
In summary, I would highly recommend Charlesbank Garden to anyone, but make sure the cons are something you can live with and you will find that you really enjoy your stay here.

Sounds like the renters are still happy at Charlesbank. I lived there from July 1997 to April 1999 and I would move back in a heartbeat if I had to. Reason why I moved was because I got married and bought a house..
