I have been a resident here for quite a while and have had a wonderful experience. I have actually refered two of my close friends her and they enjoy it as well. Initially I was concerned because there was lot of turnover in the office and I felt like every time I went into the office, I had to start my conversations over with someone new. However for the past two years their has been a consitant group in the office and they are a large part of why I love living here. Two years ago there was an issue with parking. My spot was actually assigned to someone else twice and it seemed like that was a common problem. The situation was taken care within a few months and has not happened since. We used to have a horrible situation with our elevators. This community allows dogs and people were allowing their dogs to go to the bathroom in the elevator and notcleaning it up. The office replaced the rug in the elevators with tile and it has not been an issue since.
My biggest issue came up several months ago when they started accepting students. My normally quiet hallway became very noisy and it was frustrating dealing with the smoke. However, within a few months those students were evicted and there have been no problems since. They are no longer accepting undergraduates and when I spoke to Erin in the office she appologized that I had to go through that and explained that they are no longer accepting students and that most students had already been removed from the property.
I guess my thoughts are that yes, sometimes there are issues... but that would happen anywhere. What is important is that the people in the office and the maintenance team have handled these issues as they arise. That they listen when I have concerns and that they take action to fix the issue. I have found the maintenance team to be quick, courteous and efficent adn I visit the office regularly just to say hi. I find them to be personable, concerned, and interested.
The community is beautiful, but the people are why I continue to live here.

I agree with most of what you said but puleeeez don't tell me they don't rent to college students. They told me that when I moved in 3 years ago. I tell you as sure as the Pope is Catholic that they DO rent to college students. I've met a lot of people here and talk to many more (small talk in elevators or common areas) they are not all doctoral students. Not that I have ever had a problem. I haven't. I'm just saying that that is not true.
