I moved here 6 months ago from California for work and shortly will be moving again for work to another state. The apartments are great, clean and it's great that a washer and dryer are included. The fitness centre is great and the pool in summer. The only negative thing I can say is that the Management changed not so long ago and ever since then it has gone downhill. Maintenance basically don't do a very good job, they are so quick and look like they can't wait to get out of the apartment quick enough. The Maintenance Manager is quite sleazy, I've seen him perving at women on the complex and then when they don't respond he doesn't bother to speak - very unprofessional and not at all in the way a Manager should behave. I even saw him look at this attractive girl and say something to his staff and this poor girl looked so uncomfortable. The other office staff are ok but you get the feeling that they can't really be bothered. Overall though it's one of the better ones in greater Boston.

I've lived at Avalon for 3 years and the Maintenance Manager is absolutely NOT as described above.

maybe in your opinion or you haven't witnessed or experienced this, so don't judge when you don't know. Myself and one other resident have witnessed this and it's wrong. He should be polite, friendly and professional, not leering at women. I watched him go into the gym to attend to housekeeping, one young woman was on a treadmill, he stood there gawking at her, watching her working out and then she got off and left, and who can blame her. It's sexual harrasment quite frankly.

I am a fairly attractive younger woman and maintenance has been to our apartment quite often. A lot of the time, I am not properly dressed or in my pajamas. I have NEVER experienced or witnessed any of this behavior by anyone on the maintenance team. They are all very kind and professional. Avalon would not employ someone who had received complaints of this sort. If women truly beleive this is happening, they need to speak up to management and allow this man to defend himself.
