We moved here in the summer of 2006 and have been very happy. Yes, it is expensive but you get what you pay for. We have had excellent experiences with maintenance, our overall apartment and most of the staff. The only downfall was when management changed in late 2006. We had a neighbor who was making unreasonable complaints and the former management had investigated and reprimanded her. (The noise allegations were untrue as some were recorded when we were away on our honeymoon). We were told not to worry but received a letter from Robin when she took over in Nov stating that we may be asked to leave due to the complaints. I was very upset and explained the situation to the office staff immediately. It was not addressed to the neighor and we did not receive an apology. The neighbor attempted to intimidate us when she saw us outside the apartment and around town. We had been told that they were aware that she had made similar complaints at another complex that had been greatly exaggerated. Although we did not receive and apology, or acknowledgement that this should be or was removed from our residence file, the neighbor did move by the new year and we have not received a single complaint of any sort since then.

As for Avalon itself, the pool is wonderfully maintained and the lifeguards employed each summer are great young people. Maintenance is quick to respond, and the grounds are impeccably kept. The only thing I would say about the grounds is that certain people have large unsightly Satellite dishes on their porches with lots of shoes and junk. This is especially prevalent on the bottom floor of our particular building. I am surprised that management allows it, but to each their own and I am not going to complain and ruin someone else's day. We had our own bad experience with a neighbor.

Overall, we are extremely happy with living here and intend to stay here for quite some time. I would highly recommend this complex to people looking for home or condo-style apartment homes with great amenities who understand the idea of paying a fair price for quality rental living.
