I've lived here for the past year but am moving out this weekend. I moved in just as they were starting their unit renovations. There was a deal going at the time that gave a month's free rent if you moved in by a certain date. The one month discount was spread over the year so my monthly payment went down by about $100 or so. I asked several times before signing the lease if my rent the following year would go up based on the original rent price or this discount rent I was paying. I was assured that it would be based on the cheaper of the two. Well, it's renewal time and guess what' Yep, the rent increase is based on the HIGHER of the two. It's going up $225. Our place was a dump too. Sure we had a cheaper rent compared to the renovated apt.'s going for $1650 and $1750 but it definitely showed. On top of this exuberant rent you have to pay another $175 to $225 to use the pool and tennis courts in the summer (which they open for only 3 months).

Also, the management and maintenance suck! We have a dog who doesn't like strangers. EVERY time we've had a maintenance issue and needed someone to come fix something we told them that they need to call us first because they won't schedule a time to come after 4pm or on weekends! Do you think they ever called ahead' NO! We would just get home from work with a note on our door saying they couldn't come in because of the dog. No kidding! Needless to say several things went unfixed in the year we lived there.

Snow removal was also terrible. You better buy a good shovel before winter because the plows come in and pile the snow right behind your cars. They do one swipe down the middle piling all the snow behind the cars on both sides. I will say though, they did plow the walkways up to our doors.

I think Windsor Ridge did a talent search for America's biggest idiots to hire their management. I called earlier today to attempt to schedule an exit check of our apt. to get our deposit back (why bother, right') and left my name and number with the woman working. I called back about 3 minutes later to ask another question and the same woman had forgotten who I was and that I was moving out...after I had just given her this info moments before! In fact both my wife and I caller earlier in the week as well with the same questions. I was following up 2 days before we move out because I hadn't heard anything back! This is not a one time occurrence either, this is the typical treatment you get when calling the office.

Not sure if you heard on the news, but there was a rape here as well a few months ago. Until Windsor Ridge made the news the apt. security was a joke. Our sliding door would even close completely. One of the items wwe were trying to have maintenance repair from day one. It took a rape and news coverage before they came. I can't comment on the newly rennovated apts but they do look more secure.

Anyway, I've babbled enough and you can see from the other reviews as well that this place is bad news. The management is impersonal, the maintenance is non-existent except when renovating the vacant apt.s so they can charge more. No one can take any kind of direction and you'll pay almost twice what you would if you had a house and were paying a mortgage.
