After reading these mostly bad reviews, I had to check twice to make sure that this is the same place that I have lived for 3 years! I have lived in two different apartments at Avalon Oaks & think that it is wonderful.
The few times that there have been problems (garbage disposal did not work/ hallway light out), they have been fixed almost immediately.
Yes, you can hear noises in the hallways & sometimes in the bathroom, but I have never heard a peep through any of the other walls.
Yes, it is a bit expensive, but the rent includes parking, a washer & dryer, & use of the pool & exercise room.
No place is perfect - it would be nice to see move-in or staying-on incentives.
The staff always goes out of their way to be helpful, but here is a hint: make sure you deal with the regular staff. There was someone filling in on week-ends from Avalon Oaks West & when I had questions, she did not give me a break. Krista, the manager, was very helpful and willing to work with me.
