Nice but expensive

I have lived here for almost 2 years, and I think overall it is a pretty good place, though $1495 for a two bed/two bath seems pretty high. At least that includes 2 good sized bedrooms, big living room, kitchen and dining room, and laundry hookups in the apt. It was built in the 80s and my appliances are kinda old, but if something breaks maintenance has been quick to fix it.
The dishwasher broke twice, and one A/C unit died, but all were fixed the next day! (Note: the A/C units are old and sound like frieght trains!) Twice I had a water leak in the ceiling from the bathroom above me, but again it was fixed very quickly. Landscaping it also very well kept up.
When I moved in July 2000, it was a VERY quiet complex. It still is pretty quiet, but there are more, much LOUDER kids playing around outside. I guess that's not really a bad thing, especially if you have kids of your own.
**BEWARE OF RENT INCREASES**
My rent was raised $100 after my first year (I had signed a year lease) and I just can't afford it any more. After talking with other tenants, and management, I've found that big rent increases are common.
I must admit, though, I'd stay if I could afford it!
