I have lived here for the last four years. I am a resident physician currently employed by UMASS. Many of the other tenants are residents as well as attending physicians I work with daily. Others are a multicultural group of men and women who are professionals working in the various research departments of UMASS. If you are unable/too closed minded to live in a community that is this diverse this may not be the place for you. However, it has been a quiet peacful enivornment to live. My scheddule is far more stressful than that of your average tenant. I have not been bothered by the "noise" of other tenants. Yes there is a train track down the hill and a firestation down the street. There is city noise but it not excessive. I my schedule requires that I come and go at various hours of the night and day. Never have I questioned my safety as a woman living alone. I have never seen drug deals in my neighborhood. The maintenance staff is friendly, prompt, professional, and more than helpful. They have assisted me with things around my place that are really not part of their responsibilities. I have nothing but good things to say.
