If you are looking for value for your $$$, you would be better off looking elsewhere. I have been living in apartments for the last 5 years and i have never had a more horrible experience than Princeton Palace. There are so many problems with this apartment I dont know where to start

1) Heating and Insulation: During Winter be prepared to pay more than 500$ in Electric bills. The leasing office gives you a flyer saying the electricity bills do not exceed $ 125 average a month.

In summer the bills come down to around 125$ only if you switch off the breaker circuit for the Heat.

2) Maintenance: If you have to call maintenance, you are better off living in a hotel for the next one week. They never attend to the calls. IF you are off the kind who can keep calling the maintenance 10 to 20 times, then the maintenance staff might choose to fix the issue. Even emergency issues are not attended by the maintenance staff immediately.

3) Leasing office Staff: Rude staff. Never do you get a good response from the staff. You can approach them with any issues and be rest assured that no corrective steps will be taken. You are better off not talking to them at all.

4) Snow clearance during Winter: The Ploughing machines clears the snow from the driveway and pushes them right behind your parked car. If you are off happy shovelling trying to move your car, then you dont have a problem.

5) Sound: Ofcourse this is not a problem as long as you enjoy the music your neighbour likes or enjoy listening to the channel your neigbour is watching. If you are on the first or second floor, you also have to listen to the people living above you walking. If you are in one of the corner apartments, then you also have to listen to the main doors slamming shut all the time not to mention the vibration within your apartments whenever somebody opens and shuts the doors. If tehperson living above you has a Washing machine, you can keep listening to the washing machine making a lot of noise.

6) Garbage Clearance: The less said about this the better. On weekends, you are better off if you do not go to throughout your Trash. You can find trash strewn all over the place and poses a big health hazard.

I am surprised that someone that lived at Princeton Place 6 years ago would have a comment. It is very interesting to me, only because my experience has been just the opposite. I have lived here since 2002 and have come to learn, "you can't please everyone". I have had some minor maintenance requests - addressed in a timely manner, I have had noise complaints (I work evenings)- the office has worked with me every step of the way to get that addressed, even when it meant me, calling on a Sunday so someone could come over and hear what I was talking about. Needless to say, Princeton did exactly as they said they would when I moved in - 3 strikes and your out. I remember getting a notice under my door about the noise - it was a second notice cc'd to me, so I would know what they were doing about the situation. I thought that was amazing. They took every issue very seriously and continue to do the same even today. My sister just recently took an apartment here, even after confronting me about some of the reviews - she has been here for 7 months and thanks me for reassuring her that this is a great place to live. Oh and by the way, neither of us have a phd in heat, we are just wise consumers with utilities never exceeding $210 and that was about 4 years ago in January. Communication is key - every concern you have should be relayed to the office - they really do care about you!!!!

Your post just proves my point. I personally think it is unacceptable to have to call the office and have my Sunday night disturbed by noise - go out and meet with PP staff and follow up with paperwork. What if it doesn't stop? When is my work done? Did PP explain to me during the tour that I would have such work to do to enjoy the apartment I am paying over 1k (in Worcester) for? I don't think so. But I did call the office and did not receive any resolution. Perhaps they only do that for the renters they like. It is good to know that PP has admitted the horrible noise problem and is fighting it with paperwork. That will keep people quiet. If PP was the only apartment community around -- maybe. But there are many others in the same price range. With all the other problems reported here it is a poor choice.

As an employee of Princeton Place, I am happy to read the kind words of a resident. I do however feel compelled to write to the other person that seems to have some issues with the community but doesn't live here. I am sorry to hear that your experience 6 years ago still bothers you enough to comment on this community. You may be right in your thinking that no one should have to be bothered with calling because of a disturbance, however with 260 apartments, chances are that someone may be disturbed by a neighbor, the question is - are they disturbed by loud parties that take place every night - NO , because that is not tolerated here at all. Could one be disturbed by the neighbors surround sound, yes, does this make the place a bad place to live - NO. The offer to inform us about things that may be bothersome is available to everyone no matter how small. It is important to us that our residents feel they can talk to us about anything, good or bad. I think that you misunderstand the procedure of filing a noise complaint and how it is handled. There has to be an opportunity to correct the problem, which is why we ask our residents to keep us informed. We also need to make sure that we understand both sides to avoid future issues. I think what this resident was saying about the 3 strikes - is that she had a noise issue, we addressed the concern with her neighbor, it didn't stop, we addressed it again with a notice to her to let her know we still care about this and take it serious - if she got cc'd that means the notice mentioned that if this complaint comes to our office one more time, eviction will be the next step. I would say that these steps make us an effective management team and that the goal for this community is to have residents that enjoy the apartment, community, and the services we provide. I wish your experience was more positive, however apartment living isn't for everyone. Some people are little more sensitive to certain things and that we understand. Whether it be noise, maintenance, area, no matter what community you live at, there is never going to be perfection, because one persons ideal living space isn't necessarily another persons. At the end of the day, we can honestly say we work for the best interest of our residents and provide services that are nationally recognized and award winning. I hope that you are happy in the place you are living now and thank you for your opinion, however hope that your time is too precious to continue to worry about a place you don't live. I am sure anyone that reads these comments will get your point and hopefully ours too.

Again, I would hope that all the potential renters here seen these responses and act accordingly. Employees seem to think that if I object to noise for an expensive complex, "apartment living isn't for everyone". If I care about others avoiding the same bad experience as me, "my time isn't precious enough to not continue worrying about a place I don't live." I apparently "misunderstand the procedure" of filing a noise complaint. The many many many complaints on this site have made it clear it is not just me with these issues. I currently live at another complex that has 330 units and is absolutely quiet and excellent. I come here from time to time to see what people are saying about my new complex and see the lies put on here by the PP staff. Notice there is never any discussion of changes to respond to these issues.
