Cranberry Run

On move in day, I was greeted by a neighborhood kid peeing on the front steps. He must have belonged to one of the derelicts who lingered in the hallway and asked me for money or to use the phone.



I had a creature steadily gnawing and clawing its way through the ceiling in my bedroom and repeated calls to management got no reply. I was then told they had contacted someone, but when I called the main property management office (their bosses), there was no record of my issue. The apt manager sent in a maintenance guy to spackle the hole that was beginning where whatever was up there was digging through. Eventually, the whatever-critter left or died up there, after making a quarter sized hole into my room.


They also would turn the water off in my building with no warning for "scheduled maintenance" which, well, they should be able to warn you about, wouldnt you think? Then, would advise me of their legal right to turn off my water when I called to complain. Finally I went to the office, soap and towel in hand, and made them let me shower in the model.



The leasing office manager I rented from was also notorious for trying to find "violations" of the lease on which to evict you. On one occasion, she tried to evict a girl for an offensive bumper sticker. Cause, see, if they evict you, they get more money!



Did I mention the huge dents in my car from the drunken thug parking lot football games?



Oh, and roaches too.
