Nothing fabulous here. Location is nice and all the trees are great. Apartments are pretty standard to everything else out there. Perhaps not as well maintained as some others that I have seen but average. Not well insulated -- expect high electric bills. For the "averageness" of the apartment the rent is high. You can probably find something cheaper and better elsewhere but that is a judgement call. The community is safe and in two years have only seen the cops/sherriff respond to a call twice. The lighting is low and obscured in some areas by all the trees.

Maintenance staff seems responsive and fixes things.

The community director and her assistant are nice but are unresponsive, unhelpful and probably unnecessary. They seem to operate in a vaccuum even though their office is within the community. The staff that was in place the first year I lived at DCF was great! Perhaps they spoiled us because the new staff that was brought in does as little as possible to assist the members of the community. Quite often I have left the office wondering why I even went in to see them in the first place.

Rumors from former tenants is that management does not return security deposits in fact they charge people for erroneously. I did not believe these rumors until I moved out and my story seems to be similar to what others have warned about. Consider yourself warned -- expect a big bill from the management after moving out.

Average is what I classify this apartment community. Unfortunately it is probably not much different than some if not most of the others.
