Hello, I have lived in woodsdale for about 3 months now. Of the 4 major issues we had on our list of things wrong, 1 has been addressed by them in the 3 months. I have talked to the ladies ( use term losely) in the rental office about this on 3 occasions now. This last chat resulted in me being accused of getting an attitude with the "lady". She was very rude to me and hopefully my complaints to her superiors will not go unheard.
The walls are paper thin. I've lived in apartments before and this place rates lowest on the noise factor that I've seen. Lucky for me the people around me are not rowdy, but you can still here things too well in other apartments.
The pool is very nice (i got to use it because a friend lived here last summer) and the price is pretty good for the location.
*Edit* After posting this review I was called by Jan at my home. She happens to be the apartment manager and the previously mentioned "lady" who accused me of being rude to her. She calls me to ask me why I posted a negative review about the apartments on this site. The conversation was not friendly and did nothing to quell the drama that had previously occurred. I find her initiation and handling of this situation very unprofessional. She did address my concerns about the maintenance issues and I believe now they will be taken care of.
P.S. She would like everyone to know that I was late this month on my rent. Apparently, this is a good reason to be less then courteous with a customer. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

I feel the need to respond since my name was thrown out here.
The gentlemen failed to tell the whole story but that always seems to be the case when someone complains.
He never complainted until he brought his rent check in and yes he was late and no we wouldnt be rude to someone when their rent is late. It was the way he handed over his check and stated we want our rent but we dont take care of maintenance. Of course someone would be taken back by a comment like that. Then to write about us when we bent over backwards to transfer his roomate and him to a larger apartment.
When we looked up his complaints, 1 was put on a list which I apologized for since it needed to be addressed by a contractor and the other was a wobbling toilet and a faucet that leaked. We responded to repair the items and maintenance refused to work on the toilet because it was filty and the sink was just as bad. We had to reschedule the maintenance for the following Monday. Again the conditions where the same.
So please put the full story down. That is what is upsetting.
P.S. He also failed to address the issue that money is stilled owed for transfering from one unit to another.
P.S.S. He also failed to state that they are harboring a pet.

I'll go with the apartment manager on this one. It's obvious (as I've said in my own review) that the people that have problems with Woodsdale either just like to complain or don't follow through on their responsibilities (including following the rules of the lease).

I'm going with the mgr on this too...I don't blame maintenance for not wanting to work on that filthy toilet. If we are talking courtesy here then please be courteous to these guys and take some bleach cleaner so they don't have to stick their hands in your dried urine or worse.
I don't live there but have lived with jerk neighbors in my apartment days and this guy sound like he would be one of them.

To any reading, As in all situations there are two sides to the story. In my initial bad review I did post the things I considered good about the place. Now that I've looked back on this review months later I see the managments rebuttal. Some are outright lies told to make herself look better. You have both sides of the story make your own decisions.
Saying I never complained until my rent was late is a flat out lie. That was atleast the third time I talked to someone in the office about the outstanding issues from when I first moved in.
I NEVER said what you have claimed I said. You had no right under any circumstances to talk to a customer the way you did that afternoon. To top it off you were so unprofessional as to call me at home after I was angry enough to post a negative review on this site. Never recieved even so much as an apology for either.
Your "kindness" to let my roommate change from 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom? My first encounter with you I could tell you just didn't like my roommate and now I guess it is carrying over in your attitude with me. I came in to talk to you about me and my roommate getting a 2BR from you. As soon as I told you who my roommate was you immediatly went into saying no no no he is not eligible to transfer. Then after me questioning that he would be here for a year why couldn't he transfer, you looked on your computer and seen he could infact transfer because he had been there a year.
As for the money my roommate...NOT ME....owes you for your claims that his previous apartment was filthy when he left it, that is betewen the two of you and I can not give enough valid details to what went on there. What I do know is he had the carpets cleaned and there was no visible damage to the place when he left.
To the pet issue. Yes my roommate did get a rabit for his daughter for christmas. It was caged and we have since gotten rid of it. When he got it I was under the thinking this apartment complex allowed small pets. It must have been one of the other ones I was looking at and I'm sorry for making that mistake. However, I know personally of atleast 2 other people that have cats. One of which was in a building next to the rental office. I know this from the simple fact of seeing the cat sit in the window. The other person was seen emptying a litter box. Also, I've heard from friends and other members of this community of a dozen or so others with pets. I do hope that the pet policy is consistent throughout. I'd like to be proven wrong in thinking that policy is enforced based on your attitude towards someone.
I do not blame them from not doing work on a dirty toilet either. That was not the issue with repairs. My roommate did clean the bathroom after that visit and they did come in and complete the work. The issue was that it took them over three months to address the issue. Three months after being asked multiple times about fixing the problems. Maybe I just fell through the cracks. I don't know what happened on their end.
As for me liking to complain or not following through on my responsibilities, I would not have become angry enough to complain about the smaller things had I not been so rudely treated and falsly accused of getting ignorant with her. and what responsibilities am I ignoring here? Any issues they had with us were taken care of within days. Any issues with them have taken much much longer and still have not all been taken care of 5 months into my lease.

JUST AS AN FYI TO ALL.... MANAGERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PROFESSIONAL AND IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM IS WHAT THIS MANAGER IS DOING PROFESSIONAL. MANAGERS DO NOT MAKE THEIR JOB PERSONAL. THEY DO NOT CALL TENANTS ABOUT BLOG POSTS ON THE INTERNET AND THEN THEY DEFINITELY DO NOT REPSOND TO TENANT ON THE INTERNET. THE MANAGER SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN ANYONE THAT THIS IS PERSONAL AND PROPREITARY DATA/INFORMATION AND SHOULD NEVER BE DISCLOSED ON THE INTERNET. THIS MANAGER SHOULD NOT HAVE A JOB IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM AND BELIEVE ME I WILL BE NOTIFYING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU REGARDING THIS WEBSITE. RIDICULOUS!
