Unsafe, dirty, and did I mention UNSAFE'

I moved to Univerity Gardens in Sept. 2003. My roommate and I needed to move somewhere quickly for a decent price. We should have known better when we were able to move in the day we were approved.
Since moving in, I have been made to feel like I was in danger repeatedly by the sketchy people around here, not to mention the fact that the week I moved in, my mirror was stolen off my car, and just this week, my car was broken into. I've heard repeated domestic disturbances, and in the last month there has been not one, but two random car accidents where people drove off the road and hit other cars parked out front. One of the times, a person actually drove their SUV into the corner of my building. Oh, and of course there is also the letter we got recently telling us not to worry about the two shootings that occurred here a few weeks ago, because they didn't involve residents.
Add this to the fact that the maintanance staff takes a long time to answer calls, the surrounding neighborhood is gross, and there are rats always outside (and of course the well-documented roaches in the apartments), and you can understand how this complex can get such low reviews.
