in a so called living arrangement. I lived in this apartment complex from 1996-1997. I too attended the University of Maryland and found the location to be very convenient, as I could walk to campus on a comfortable day (I like to walk). BUT...convenience is in no way worth the freakin' hassle.

I had two children at the time, one three months old, and was horrified to find that we had an unwelcome tenant that I had to chase down for about a week. Finally, my little rodent friend (a mouse) met his demise and I found him under the vertical blinds in the living room.

Well, when I rented the place, I did not expect to have and apartment soooo small, and I did not expect the neighbors next door to be drug dealers with traffic in and out of the apartment in the wee hours of the morning. Nor did I expect the people upstairs to have such unruly children, that my son's and I were awaken from our sleep like clockwork because of the jumping around on inferior floors. Or for me to have a miniature waterfall coming form the ceiling in the bathroom. Or for the stove to have a reverse faded dial on it that started the oven baking at 500 degrees, how is that possible' So, that's when I went to the rental office and requested a two bedroom apartment. They agreed...

THEN, once again, another rodent friend on top of roaches galore! So, it was not just a problem with the one bedroom, it is an overall problem with the complex.

Finally, after seven months of this crap, I asked to break my lease, of course, the rental office told me "well, there is no way for you to break your lease, we do not have a lease breaker's fee...", so, if you move here, you will be stuck here until your lease is up, and that my friend, is far from something I would suggest, even to my worst freakin' enemy...it's up to you to decide if you would like to live in hell, long before your time is due...
