Just plain awful! From: sweetadaline Date posted: 6/11/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008 1 response   I have been reading the reviews on here, and even the good ones have multiple negative comments. At the end ofthe day they hype these apartments as luxury living, with a luxury price tag, but the product is below average. Granite counterops and "stainless steel" apliances are just pretty ban-aides put on this train wrek to make it look presentable. There is an extensive mold problem throughout the community. They tell each resident that thier mold issue is an isoltaed incident, but that could not be further from the truth. Some apartments have even been condemed. There was a mold issue when they were constructed (see article: http://www.unionrlty.com/Images/newspdf/URP AC 1.14.07-1901.pdf). By law they were to disclose that there was a mold issue that was treated, but it is never brought up when signing a lease. Now that neighbors are talking, we are seeing the light of day....even in our time of misery they make it worse by continuing to lie to us. They also do not want you to know that they lease to section 8 residents. If you are not familiar, section 8 is a voucher for low income families. The problem with this is that the majority of of people who take part in section 8 do not work at all, and tend to be habitual drug/alcohol users. It is not very well regulated by the government. The office staff are clearly trained to be leasing agents, and have no real skill in dealing with actual problems. Due to the poor design/construction, and sloppy execution of the buildings they are so inundated with maintenance requests, that it is impossible to keep up. Meanwhile they have you sign a service guantee that says they will fix things within 24hrs - why they have this when they really can't handel it is beyond my comprehension! You are absolutely crazy if you decide to rent here. I learned my lesson the hard way, I am telling you this to save you the agony!
