The rent is a little cheaper compared to the rest of Annapolis, however it is in the end not worth it at all. The apartments are in terrible condition for one, they are very old Ive heard over 30 years old. They do not clean the apartment well at all from tenant to tenant, and are horrible about getting around to get things fixed. The management team is the WORST. They were the nicest, right until the lease gets signed, then they are the worst, many things they told us in the visit turned out to be untrue and when confronted they denied saying it. The area is also very bad, many shady kids walk through the parking lot as a short cut, I had things stolen off my porch, my tires slashed and my motorcycle was completely stolen (they cut through 2 huge locks to take it) The worst was moving out, they were horrible in trying to get a walk through, then when we did, get it they said nothing was wrong, until a month later when they kept our deposit and sent a bill stating bogus charges. DONT RENT

I just moved out a month ago, and I'm having the same trouble. I'm taking them to court though and contacting the BBB. They are charging me a fee that CLEARLY is NOT stated in my lease agreement with Avalon Landing as well as my move out statement. It's illegal and I won't stand for it. I've even been hung up on!!

WOW, I find that hard to believe! When I moved out in September (just bought my own home!) the office staff was so helpful. I did have to request by registered letter a move out walk through but that was the most difficult (Avalon Lease required it) part of the entire process. The office staff was extremely prompt, courteous and informative about what my charges would be, when I should expect my deposit back and during the walk though actually found several personal items I had forgotten. I have a friend that I referred to Bayshore Landing and the apartment they received was nothing like the apartment I had received when I moved in. I had striped going horizontally across my walls, those peel and stick square tiles in my kitchen and bathroom, and my carpet was rather worn down but my friend??????s apartment was practically perfect. I was amazed at the transformation. The maintenance staff really has an eye for detail compared to what I had under the Avalon management. If I had not bought a new home, I would have stayed. You can really see the improvements that have come with the new management. I am surprised by your comments and would definitely recommend this apartment community to call home.
