Going, Going Gone.

We were happy when we moved in, were miserable one year later, and have been happier since we left. We have friends who still live in the community who are also looking to relocate. The neighborhood has gone downhill drastically. Two ladies were attacked one on the steps from the parking lot to her building, and one in front of her mailbox inside the building. Other residents have had to call the police to have homeless people removed from the laundry rooms and stairwells. Someone found a passed-out drunk in the bushes recently and the police had to come and remove him.
Parking is hit or miss depending on which side of the community you live on. The buildings are not secured access, and the management is unfriendly, which is weird because the maintenance staff are really nice. Lately, we've seen a lot of "we will sue and/or evict you" letters posted to all residents. In our old building, three units moved out in the past six months or so, and one of those turned over again in less than a month. Hopefully it's just growing pains, since Morgan Properties bought out the original owners, and have lost the original manager, already gone through one more manager, and are on their third manager this year. They've been remodeling the apartments as people move out of them, and are making some improvements to the parking lots, etc. People in unremodeled units are still paying the higher rent that remodeled units (with washer/dryers, new kitchens, etc.) are paying though. The neighboring community of Bay Ridge Apartments is in the newspaper for drugs/shootings/stabbings/muggings/theft, etc. every day. Robinwood is also nearby, another crime-ridden neighborhood.
If they can turn it around, good for them, but since they can't keep a manager on staff, the buildings aren't safe because the neighborhood isn't safe - and nothing has being done to correct that problem, it doesn't look promising.

i have lived here for almost 3 years and I must say the management sucks. If you have any problems what so ever they will take months to even come and take a look at it. And thats after millions of calls to the office complaining. The maintenance look like gang members. There has been gas leaks at time when they block the whole neihborhood off. So sorry if your coming home from work and cant get into your own apartment for hours. None of there new renovations are up to code meaning all the apartments with them are being done over again with only days notice and they say it take up to 3-4 weeks to finish. Wow how about that huh. Really theres much more to this but I dont have that much time. Dont move here. Beware there are muggings and more car thefts here than a little. Dont be fooled be the staff here. There all about money and thats it for sure. There needs to be something done here at forest hills immediately.
