i could hear everything from the girl checking her email upstairs ["you've got mail"] to the church choir practicing next door. and since the apartments are about 30 years old, they've begun to settle--meaning my ceiling would creak [in multiple places!] EVERY SINGLE TIME my upstairs neighbor walked across her room! the windows are not well insulated either--i had towels and duct tape stuffed in my window sills all winter long. there was also the problem of several people who kept working on their cars in the parking lots--management would keep putting up notices that this was against the lease; they'd work on their cars elsewhere for a week and then return.

one big asset was their maintenance staff--very friendly and prompt. if i called with a problem, they usually fixed it the same day. they went thru at least 3 managers in my 2 years there; the last one [jillian] was the best. they were sprucing things up before i left: new landscaping, etc.
