I don't know where you have looked for an apartment, but if you think this is great, you are probably one of the people who stomps on my head or plays loud music or slamps their front door and takes my handicapped spot for your own. I have never lived in a noisier apt. (except for Keswick Park in Crofton) All the floors squeak, the tub squeaks and squeaks while you shower. I like to be considerate of my neighbors, but how can you with the poor construction. There is no soundproofing AT ALL in these apts. My upstairs neighbors stomp for hours on end from one part of the apt. to the other until I am at my last nerve and mgmt. is not sympathetic at all. I was told "it's your word against theirs" when I complained. I have given up. I can't wait to move. I am going back to my former apt. community. It is older and doesn't have a pool or a gym, (what's the difference, if the equipment never works')but I felt safe there, I could sleep at night and I had great neighbors and a wonderful staff and its not in this CONGESTED noisy area, its only 7 miles away!! It's in Arnold! I can get my life back and RELAX!! In additon I would like to state that on the up side, the maintenance here is great, but that is the only thing I like. Here, there is no ice maker. At these prices, they should have an icemaker in the refrigerator. I had one at my former community and it's 20 years older than this one! Also they let very large dogs in here, I have seen Boxers (2), German Shepherd, Doberman, and, really scary, a few pit bulls. You have people who do not clean up after their pets on walkways, real nice when you try to take a walk. There should be a limit of at least 35 lbs. for pets. It is unfair to the pets and to the community to put them in an apartment! I don't know where that "grandfather clause" business came from, because there must be a load of people who were rented apts. when the pet limit was 100 lbs. What a joke! Also you had better not have too many belongings there is only ONE closet in the entire one bedroom apt. and NO LINEN CLOSET. I must have bumped my head when I rented here! Also there are a lot of transient people living here, no wonder the apartments are so beat up. Some people don't care about other peoples property if they are going to be leaving soon. (unfortunate, but true) The landscaping is nice in the areas that are to be seen by prospective residents, but when you walk thru the community and see the condition of the backs of the building and some the apartment balconies, you get a truer picture of this community. Don't be fooled as I was by the staff's sunny attitude, its a sham! If you are happy here, you are very young and are never home. And, also some people HAVE to rent because they can't afford to buy a house! I am looking forward to my moving day!!

Just because people own dogs that are big; pitt bulls or german shepherds or Rotties or dobermans doesn't mean they don't have a right to live there. Not all of them are aggressive and they are not aggressive by nature dogs. Comments like yours and small minds like yours in regards to them is why they have such a bad reputation!!! Do your research before you talk about someone elses pet soully based on its breed!!!!!!! Whats really scary is negative small minded people like you!!

I agree SOOO much with everything you said, I totally forgot about the sqeaky shower. I feel like Im living in a trailer park when I have to take a shower. Maintience is great here, their 24 hours and come as soon as you call them, but everything else sucks. I feel SOOO stupid for renting this place. I stillhave 10 months to go. AHHHHH!

I actually really do not agree. I just moved in with my husband, and our apartment was in pretty good condition. I hear nothing from the other tenants!! Unless they don't talk or walk, we feel much better here. We came from Annapolis Roads apartments, and they are FALLING APART..........YOU ALSO CAN HERE THE NEIGHBORS SNEEZE! Not a good feeling for newlyweds! Floors are solid at Harbour Gates from what I have seen, as are the walls. It is true there aren't enough closets. Annapolis is vry pricey, and I guess from the floor footage they wanted to give you more room for furniture. I believe that your negative response is peppered with sour grapes and your particular bad experience here.

There's nothing "really scary" about your neighbors having pit bulls. I work with dogs and have never had a single bad experience with a pit. The only dogs that ever bit me were a Jack Russel Terrier, and a Pomeranian! Please, please, please educate yourself on pit bulls and you'll see they're not the horrible monsters they're sometimes portrayed to be.
