We moved to Harbour Gates apartments two years ago based on a recommendation from a co-worker. Two years ago, we loved being here, it was the best apartment living we've experienced. But now, I wouldn't recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
We had problems with our stove awhile back. It took a couple calls to management to get it fixed. I was really surprised we didn't get a new stove, but they did replace the large burner that didn't work anymore. Three weeks past from when the problem started to when they resolved it.
I also noticed graffeti on two of the buildings here while walking down the dog path. How sad!!
The following is nothing against Harbour Gates, (more towards the mail system) but it really annoys me. UPS personnel never leaves notices on my door when I get packages. The front desk signs for it, and I have no idea it's arrived. This has been an ongoing problem since we moved in two years ago. I told the front desk about it back then, and they said even they have a hard time getting the mail people to leave notices. Ugh!! (Case in point: I've been waiting for a package all week, I just tracked it today and it showed that the front desk signed for it Thursday. It's Saturday night. Ugh!!!)
On several occasions I notice the front office is closed during business hours. It should be open until 5 or 6pm on work nights, and everytime I go to the front office at 4:45pm (like on a Wednesday) they are closed!
Our lease is up in June and we just got notice that our rent is increasing $80 per month!! (For a one bedroom with den.) At least by then we'll be month to month, so we can move out anytime.

I agree. Saw some nice graffiti on the apt opposite mine this morning. I have the same problems with packages. No idea why. I always was given a notice in my old apt.
