I moved to Regatta Bay in August, 2002, and have changed units once since then. Although I could not afford to live in my modest one-bedroom apartment at Regatta Bay, I have really enjoyed living with a roommate in a much bigger 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment across the complex.
Detractors: Parking can be a hassle, especially later in the evenings or when snowbanks occupy *dozens* of spaces. Either get home early enough to score a place near your building or bring your walking shoes! Also, the dumpsters aren't emptied as often as needed. Trash often overflows into the surrounding area.
Assets: The very friendly office staff have been more than helpful with nearly every issue. Our neighbors have complained of noise coming from all of their building-mates, but the staff has remained courteous and diplomatic. The grounds are nearly always impeccable (except for the dumpster areas) and the maintenance staff obviously work very hard. The pool is wonderful (although it closes a little early in the evenings...) and the location couldn't be better. As close to Highway 50 as possible without living on the median!
If you select Regatta Bay, be prepared to pay for the luxury, but it's worth it!
