I have been a resident here since 2003 and the only reason that I have not left is I was receiving an excellent rent discount paying 825.00 for a two bedroom. There have been multiple trials for the tenants, ever changing Management, building transfers, infestations, towing scams, poor maintenance, no amenities and to date we have an alderwoman as a resident that calls city police for any lifestyle that conflicts with hers. This community has potential but the recent management firms have lacked the financial stability and management skills needed to run any operation. The apartments are larger than average, its a good location next to Truxton Park. You may have to exploy your own methods to prevent your nieghbors bugs from becoming yours unfortunately. There is no violence or property crimes just recent poor management.
Bozutto has recently taken over as the property manager. This could mean great improvements to the community landscape, property maintenance and amenities along with an increase in rent. So far the idividual managers on site have not impressed me. Very unorganized and lack follow up. They also tend to operate outside of the boundaries of the law. For example they gave me and a few other residents two weeks notice to vacate our building so that they could begin renovations. Ofcourse that did not go to well. But I still live here and will only leave once the prices inflate. At that time I will move to a community that deserves what they ask in rent. If you are thinking of moving here wait till 2009 to see what reviews are in.
