I visited Annapolis for a weekend and thought Thornbury Bay was where I wanted to live. I applied for an apartment and then I waited, and waited and waited. When I called to check on the status of my application they informed me on three separate occassions that it was being processed. Finally after 2 weeks I called and asked them to cancel my application and thank you for their time. I suddenly was offered the 1bed/1bath for a cheaper price but I was so fed up with the application process that I told them no thank you. She told me she would have to get back to me about cancelling my application, she never returned my call. I called again the next day and someone else told me that it had in fact been cancelled. They ended up cashing my $300 security deposit even after I cancelled my application and had never been approved for an apartment therefore there was nothing to "secure" and should have gotten that money back. If they need to take money from a new graduate who will be barely making above poverty level as an emergency intern at the local hospital then more power to them. I was super disappointed b/c they are really nice apartments but I feel like the lucky one just so I don't have to deal with the management for the next year. We were also told, "go ahead and slander us if you want." Well it is hard to slander when it is true. Thank you for making it hard for me to get that apartment!!

just a note, i recieved my $300 deposit back after complaining to the national headquaters. Apparently they are trying to sell the property, which causes a lot of uneasiness amongst the staff.
