We have been here for a couple of years. When we first got here, it was very nice. Management has changed hands a few times, but the current managemnet is very nice and will try to work with your concerns. The apartments are large. There are some on going issues with the gates not working, garbage pick-up and parking. We feel however, that the worst problem at Archstone/Annapolis Bay/Village Greens is the TENANTS. The tenants in one particular section of the complex are horrific! They don't know how to close their doors like civilized humans - they let them slam, over and over again, the noise shakes the whole building on a constant basis. Another thing is the animal population in the complex. We love animals but it's really turning into a petting zoo here. A lot of the pet owners here DO NOT pick up after their pets, they leave dog poop on the grounds constanly and some of them let their pets poop on their decks and let it sit there, NASTY!!!. We have also seen them collect the poop and let it sit on their front door step in plastic bags. NASTY!!!! A lot of the people who live here are able to afford the rent somehow, but they have very dirty habits unfortunately and it makes it uncomfortable for the rest of us. There are also too many people living in some of the apartments, which accounts for lack of parking spaces. Another nasty habit that these people have is putting their garbage bags at their front door, full of garbage. NASTY!!! So before you all look to managemnet for solutions to your problems, you should STOP creating such nasty problems yourselves. Stop pointing the finger at management and everyone else and take responsibility for your own nastiness and trashyness!!! Be better tenants!!!

I agree that many of the tennants are the problem, however there is nothing other renters can do about it. It is the responsability of the management to enfore the rules, which they are NOT doing. Many of the people who are causing the problems are actually not paying rent on time or at all. For some reason, the management will not throw these people out.

It is very unfortunate that management can not just throw people out, however, I have spoken to the girls in the office several times and they are doing what they can do within the legal limits. In fact, I know so many people here who do care and make it a great community. Maybe the ones that are guilty are the ones that post to this site. Hey, you can always transfer or move out! I have been here since the place was built and quite honestly, this management has been the only management company to listen to us. Don't be so quick to blame!

The ones who are on here are the ones who are causing the most problems within this community! If you don't like your neighbors and the rest of the building seems to be getting along great, then maybe YOU are the problem! Why are you policing the hallways? Who gave you the right to do this? Management goes thru the hallways many times a day to make sure all is status quo. If you see a poopie bag sitting by the front door of an apartment or a trash bag, why don't you have a little understanding and at least they are picking up the poo from their pet & carried a second bag with them just in case the pet poo'd again on the way back to the apt. I know I have, I sat it by my door so I could get my dog inside and then was coming right back out to take it to the poo station! It has never sat there more than a few minutes, however, YOU have put notes on the tenants doors but gee, you never sign your name or have the decency to knock on the door to see if there was a problem as to why all of a sudden this was done, shame on you! You are also the one who when we say "hi" you scowl and grumble. I don't know how you go around life with such a negative attitude about life!
The management here is the best I have ever seen, believe me, I have lived all over the world & had to rent for 20 yrs because of the moving. You cannot control your neighbors & neither can the management, the only way you can is to buy a single family house in the middle of the woods where no one else is around. It's your choice!!! If you are looking for a very nice place to live, I would recommend Archstone! If you don't like pets, then DON'T move here! For the number of dogs & size of dogs that are here, it is extremely quiet. You do not hear barking dogs. Most of the time when poo is not picked up it is because the kids are walking the dogs, kids will be kids. If I had my choice I would live in a place where children are not allowed, however, Archstone does & I have never had a problem with anyones children or dogs. The only problem I have encountered are tenants who are unhappy with themselves & their own life & take it out on everyone else. "Have a very nice day!"
