We have lived here for almost two years and they have been the two worst years of my life. The grounds are nasty - human garbage dropped everywhere and not cleaned up, cigarette butts everywhere, trash everywhere, dog droppings everywhere. When you contact management about problems, they don't respond, and they definitely don't resolve the situation. The noise is unbelievable!!! I haven't slept soundly in two years. My husband and I are both handicapped and yes, there are three handicapped parking spaces at our building - and they're never available. Unsupervised and disrespectful children run around everywhere - you don't dare walk down a sidewalk lest you be run over by a child on a scooter or skates. You can't walk your dog without being harassed by children wanting to pet or play. The interior is pathetic - I have seen absolute poverty classified shacks that are in better shape. Reported the defects when we moved in - none, again, none were repaired. Heater/Air has never worked properly - thermostat is not calibrated correctly. We have been very prompt with our rent payments every month. We are planning to move, and we offered to relinquish our deposit and pet deposit since we have two more months on our lease, but we were told we would have to pay until the end of the lease. This apartment has adversely affected my husband's and my health - we are moving out, WE ARE RUNNING AWAY FOR OUR LIVES. Please, if you need a place to live, go anywhere but here. There is a very high tenant turnover - that should surely be a sign to you. There are about 4 or 5 apartments vacant in this building right now. For your own welbeing, don't consider this place. This is absolute malarchy and apparently you have a serious axe to grind! I have lived here for a year...and YOUR apartment is only one building over from mine. The ONLY issue I have had is with noise and the dog droppings. I contacted the office and they handled it immediately. I recieved a phone call within an HOUR of contacting the office Manager Christine. As far as the handicapped spots are concerned...there is always at least ONE available every night when we park! Yes the parking sucks right now...but handicapped people ALWAYS have parking here and you know it! I complained that my dishwasher wasn't working correctly and they replaced it. When I had issues with silverfish they sprayed and have come out regularly each month to maintain my apartment. Considering the price of the location and the quality of its maintenance...if you aren't happy, the best you can get at this price is Admiral Farragut. You want roaches, men masterbating on your cars, immigrants hooting and hollering at you...have at it! This is a well priced location and the staff is helpful if you go about your complaints in a considerable manner. Oh and the reason for tennant turnover: our apartments are leased to airlines quite frequently. The stewardesses that are flying in use them for periods of time instead of getting a hotel! Not to mention the fact that we get alot of Government people who are only in Annapolis for a few months out of the year! Its funny how you convieniently leave out those parts when you make up such lies. You forgot to mention that there is over ten police officers who live in the development as well as DOZENS of professionals and teachers! I guess they must have low standards! In the year I have been here there have been no assaults, burglaries, robberies, rapes or murders! Can you say that for ANY of the other communities? not most of them no. what utter drama!

I totally agree with 1862Vabelle. Westwind apartments are a ------ hole!!!! Please don???t stay there even if they offer it for free. You will regret every dollar you pay big time! I stayed there 2003-2005 because the location was very convenient, but absolutely nothing else was even close to being satisfactory. Dirt everywhere and complete lack of maintenance. Management is nowhere to be found. I had to go to the corporate office to complain, but corporate people proved worse to deal with than the nonexistent onsite management. I think this property should be shut down by the state and the owners put in jail for misleading and mistreating their tenants! Keep away for your own sake!

I agree with perpetual_lotus. I have lived here since 2005 and would not dream of living in any other complex around here. The Staff is great and the grounds are beautiful. If you have a problem with the children in the area then that is the parents fault not the complex.

you are ridiculous! it's apartment living! my building is also one building down from you as well. this complex is by far one of the best in annapolis especially for the price! the office staff is great and so is the maintenance. before i moved to annapolis, i lived in glen burnie..Now that was HORRIBLE. You by far are a complainer of something that should not be complained about! yes there is dog poop on the grounds but it's the residents responsiblity to pick it up! not managements. our building is by the trash can so you'll see some occasional trash on the grounds..that's life! if you dont like it, pick it up. if you were so unhappy living in our community why didnt you move out after your first year! We all worry about our health but it just seems like when people use this excuse it's because they have no other recourse but to blame someone else. i agree with perpetual_lotus! about everything. there is no way they have a high turn over as you say. when you see moving trucks, its probably because people like perpetual said..officers, teachers and government officials are moving IN! you speak about handicapp parking but thats everywhere! the world is becoming handicapped itself. i can guarantee you wherever you move, there will always be an issue with parking unless it's a new complex or it has large parking garages. what you should be worrying and complaining about is how our soldiers are fighting for our freedom, how children are being abused and neglected in foster homes but all you want to complain about is parking and trash! wow! what has this world come to!
