Just wanted to comment on what a treat it is to live in Oakland Hills. This community has been my home for 18 years. I made a couple of mistakes and moved away for a couple of years to other communities that were newer and had more amenties and they were not worth it. I was so happy to return to Oakland. Now I hope I will never have to leave again. I just signed a new lease for another year. Yes, it is expensive. But so is rent everywhere nowadays. It is the good feeling you get coming home to Oakland that makes it all worthwhile. The staff is like family. Always helpful and cheerful. Maintenence issues are taken care of right away and in a workmanlike manner. The staff goes the extra mile to make all the residents happy here. If you are not happy, then you have other issues. The grounds are kept in tiptop shape and are truly lovely. It is quiet and safe and that is what has kept me here all these years. You do not get quiet and safety in other communities, I know. We just had new thermopane windows installed last year which has really helped with heating and cooling issues. New patios have also been recently constructed in the terrace levels with textured paving and a lovely planter border. These are well-maintained apartments and I love my apartment home!
