We really looked around Baltimore for the best value and found the Atrium quite nice.

It's in the center of town just a few blocks from the Inner Harbor, and is a quiet little gem.

Our apartment is quite large and rent is great considering most utilities except for phone and cable are included.
The staff is great and responsive, and most issues we've had have been handled quickly.

There could be a few more perks like a pool and pool table, but overall, our experience here has been positive.
Now if only the rest of the area was rebab'd...

Crime here is acutally quite low, and security in the building is AOK!

Many people have written to ask me questions, so I would like to respond to a few:
1) No, I'm not employed by the Attrium
2) Crime. It's actually quite low here due (in part) to a police sub-station located in our basement, and if you check the stats you will see that this part of town has a pretty low crime rate.
3) Parking is at a semi-detached garage on the top two floors and runs $89 per month. You get a key card and garage door opener to access the top floors.
4) Sure there are "strange" people milling about outside - there are major bus stops, a Light Rail stop, and the subway VERY close by.
5) No, we've never been accosted by anyone. We walk to the Inner Harbor often, and use the major well lit streets.
6) There IS some city noise associated with the complex that is to be assumed. Choose your apartment carefully. The East side has some LR noise, and you will hear emergency vehicles on the West side. The center of the Atrium is generally very quiet, however, there is little sun.
7) Yes, Internet access is free here with two caviets:
a) It's limited to 768kpbs download
b) Upload is limited. This means NO X-Box or Vonage use.

The only complaint we have after living here for over a year is the amount of insulation between apartments. Sometimes we can hear our neighbors, but never anything from downstairs due to concrete floors.

My wish list for the Atrium has been pretty well satisfied with the addition of two new computers and a couple of vending machines in the Office center, and a pool table on the third floor.
One wish that has not been satisfied is the addition/opening up/recertification of at LEAST one more elevator out of the 10 that this building originally had working.
This would be a godsend on busy weekends!
