Winter warmth deprived

They are now changing an old thermostat to a new one , which cannot be set above 72 degrees, although they started charging the residents additional heating fee $30-40 dollars per month from the next contract. If you have small children, the deprivation of winter warmth can be a kind of "torture". Although the service is getting worse and worse, they want more and more mony from the residents. I am thinking of moving out of this poor service apartment.

If you look on-line, you can find the instructions for the thermostat, which tell you how to change the minimum and maximum temperatures. See: http://www.white-rodgers.com/wrdhom/pdfs/instru |

ponko-I keep my thermostat at 68 during the winter because I get a bill that tortures me much worse than my kid does. Trust me when I say that the $30-$40 that they charge for heat only offsets the cost-it doesn't cover it. 72 degrees is more than adequate to keep warm-if you still feel chilly put on warmer clothes or get an extra blanket. cohen.jhu-Did you not realize that your username would print? It won't take too much for the management to find out who you are. I'm sure that if anyone is caught tampering with the thermostats that there will be ramifications. |

soccermama - wow, you sound just as irate as the management team. I wonder why? I will now disregard everything you post on this site...
