Bonnie Ridge is very glitzy, and to the outward viewer a great place to live. Here are so definite drawbacks to consider.
- Parking is terrible. The lots were just paved but there is rarely enough. They have small signs posted through out about a towing policy, and they are strick about them. My car was registered, but did not have the sticker. In the middle of the night my car was towed. And not to somewhere convineint. It was towed to a place by the airport.
- The management is not helpful. I've called numerous times and received no call back. The leasing agents are the only people you can get a hold of, but it doesn't matter because they don't have the information you need.
- The clubhouse is great. But if you want a fitness center pass, you only get one and if you lose it, you have to pay $250!!
- The windows are drafty. They promised news one last year and did not deliver. Oh, and the air conditioning vents are right next to the windows...
- The dryer sends lint all over the apartment.
- I've had the shower above me and the toilet above me both leak into my bathroom...at individual times and at the same time.
- The walls and floors are thin. I can hear the words to the songs my neighbor downstairs plays.
- The maintenance staff, though nice, is somewhat slow and not altogether proactive in fixing problems.
- The tennis courts have no nets.
- The information from the office is inconsistent. They say they send a notice, but it was never received. There was no information about getting a pool pass. For those living in bonnie ridge, if you want one, bring a small picture of your head, so they can attach it to a piece of cardboard. Oh, and don't lose that either, it will cost $3.
The only good thing I can say about bonnie ridge is that my apartment is spacious. Though I have to say, if i didn't have roommates I couldn't afford it!

I would like to ad to your comment about management's response. It does indeed take them forever to get back to you. They try to sell you on the fact that they have a pledge and if they break it they will give back you your rent for that day. However this is at the manager's dicretion. So if they are rude to you, or make you wait two months to fix an issue the manager can decide not to honor the pledge, and the main Homeproperties main office in New York is not concerned.

I have new windows and a gym key. There is no cost for the gym key at first just if you lose it. It is electronic. so its fitting that you get charged. Pool passes are free for you and guests. Nothing is free so why are complaining. I have seen it first hand. The staff is nice its the tenants who make it rough for the staff. People will blame them for being rude. when they are just responding to rude tenants.
