Neighbor pounded on the floor all night every night tripping over furniture falling down, playing flute, nothing ever done. No parking within block of apartment. Cats and dogs run loose. Dog even ran into apartment that wasn't mine. Owner rather sheepish but still didn't put leash on dog. Windows leak so apartment cold in winter. Large tree fell down they left it for weeks. Varmit problem in apartment. Exterminator came and made it worse till I was sleeping with them. Moved out. Refuse to sleep with mouse. Are you sure you want to move here'

Are you serious? If you are going to write on here at least be honest. I have lived here for a while and never have had any of these problems. You need to go downtown. After seeing those you will be grateful to live in a beautiful place like Bonnie Ridge. Then again, why don't you buy a house, but then again, you wouldn't have anyone to lie about. I hope your not my neighbor

Well I can attest to the mice problem..no problem for 4 years, then there it is. You must not have ever taken out trash in the summer of 06 or you would have seen the 4 or 5 rats (probably more but this is the amount that would appear at one time) at that dumpster. Took about half a year for them to cover it. And there were several residents that could attest to this.
And, yes, I did hear of a young child getting bit by a dog that was not on a leash here on community grounds. There was even a flyer posted by the child's parents in each building, trying to find out who the dog's owner was.
Tell me, what does the decision to buy a house have to do with any of this? Luckily, with a house (if that is what's best for one's situation..so stop judging, thank you) you don't expect the service and "pledges" that you are lied to about by the management.
And, I don't know that I would want neighbors who are afraid to take a stand for their rights and protection. Thank you very much.

Vexed06-You are a fisty one aren't you. Police are for your protection not your landlord. As sad as it is that a child was bitten by a dog the landlord has no authority in the matter to do anything about it other than kick the owner and dog out of the community..but if the parents of this child don't know who the culprit was how do you expect the landlord to know. Next time you see a dog off a leash try finding out where that person lives, I bet they won't tell you. As for home ownership I believe that the other person's point was that it makes you appreciate all of the little things that your landlord actually does take care of without you even realizing it. When my a/c breaks I have to call my own repair man and wait a week for them to come out and be prepared to pay the bill even though I may not be prepared for it...same with pest control be it rats, roaches or termites. I don't think they were judging you or anyone else. As I've said many times...people need to be a part of the solution, renting or owning, in their neighborhoods otherwise you are part of the problem.

every single complaint you listed with the exception of the windows (which have now been replaced) has abslutly nothing to do with bonnie ridge properties and everything to do with irresponsible and thoughtless tenants which can be found anywhere. i don't have mice. i take my trash out when it's full. i don't leave it on the porch or in bags on the kitchen floor. i seal my food and don't leave dirty dishes lying around. i keep my place clean and bug/rodent free. if you have pests it is your own fault. bonnie ridge is very good about going after people who have had noise voilations and they will evict repeat offenders for breach of contract. dogs are required to be on leashed at all times and you will be fined if you're seen without one.
