Mixed Feelings - Noise is a huge problem

My lease is almost up and I have mixed emotions.

Pros:
-Great location!
-The pool is actually very nice and was not over-crowded during the summer
-The gym is one of the nicest apartment complex gyms I've seen. However, it does get very crowded and hard to get equipment.
-Large rooms
-Washer/Dryer in apartment
-Tennis Courts in good shape
-Walking distance to Mt. Washington Tavern
-Safe neighborhood
-Super fast maint. I submit requests online while at work and they have already fixed it by the time I get home.

Cons:
-The walls are BEYOND paper thin. I can hear EVERYTHING from the apartment upstairs. They keep me up at night and wake me up in the morning. I am not exaggerating. I hear their alarm going off at 6:50am everyday - it is ridiculous! When I was in college, the dorms and college apartments were even better than this. The dog in the apartment above me constantly barks and runs back and forth all day/night. Unfortunately the tennants do not speak English, or at least pretend they don't.
-I have found two dead mice in my apartment. I have never seen any live mice or signs of other mice.
-There is a bug problem. Seems to be worse in the summer but nothing you wouldn't expect for a ground floor apartment.

Overall, I would recommend Bonnie Ridge as long as you are on the top floor. I am moving out soon and wish I could move into one of the top floor apartments. If it were not for the paper thin walls and rude neighbors of mine I would recommend these apartments to everyone.

Disagree somewhat on your comment of "as long as you are on the top floor". My apartment WAS a top-floor, and I had a noise problem due to my next-door neighbour. I do remember seeing ONE dead mouse (on the balcony) the day I moved out (when I swept off the balcony)--as you said, never seen live ones though. I do remember twice trying to move out (both times to be closer to work). First time (to Gateway Village), I lost the job and had to find new one--so I stayed put (and Bonnie Ridge refunded the transfer-fee cost next month by taking it off rent).

I have lived here for almost 2 years and did a transfer from the front to the back. I agree that the walls in my old apartment were alot thinner than here in the back of the property in the newer buildings. I did not realize that there was a nice sized storage unit on the balcony. It's alot warmer also. My unit was cold until they installed the new vinyl windows when I was in the front. Over all my new unit is much better. No noise at all. As far as bugs and critters, neither of my apartments have had a problem. If you are searching for an apartment ask for the buildings in the back of the property. They are much nicer. I do miss my huge windows in my first unit though. It's a nice place to live. I enjoy it
