Please don't let the pleasant attitudes fool you when you come to tour. It won't take long if you decide not to head this warning and move in anyway until you see the real them. You will regret moving here. Not worth the money. Old buildings that contain lots of mice. My home stays tidy since I'm out of town frequently but the mice seem to think they are on my lease. These buildings need to be torn down! Condemned.

Every time I get one of these in my email..I thank my lucky stars we pulled out before signing the lease. We did get our deposit back , after going above the leasing office. Hope you get out of there soon and good luck to all who still are there!

I knew I wasn't just nuts...for years I lived there with problem after problem after problem. When I wrote a letter to the upper management before they installed their "new windows" which should have been done years and years ago (and which didn't matter b/c at the same time they installed this "limited" temperature thermostat so it was still cold anyway in the winter, they decided not to renew my lease the next year (even though I had been with Home Properties about 7 years (different properties)). Well, their loss..DEFINITELY not mine (Now me and my family are in a beautiful house, far far away from that Hell Hole, renting but worth it as we don't have to deal with critters and snooty management). Best of luck- get outta there as soon as you can!!!

My My My! What appropriate comments. I lived hear for about 4 years plus in the early 80's, again in 1996 and now since 2005. It was a great gated community in the 80's and OK in 1996. I came back in 2005 because I thought it would have similar qualities and also because the heat and gas were included in the lease price. They promptly changed that. They also changed the thermostats so that you can't get warm in the winter. I thought that living with mice was as bad as it could get (since May of 2008.) However I found out that it could get worse when I left to go to work in Virginia one morning in August 2009 to find that both of my cars that were parked side by side had been towed by Henry's Wrecker Service. I was told that they were towed at 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. because they were parked in more than one space. Keep in mind that there are two buildings where I am located. The occupancy at my building was 50% and there were ample empty parking spaces. The towing poster that they have posted in the buildings does not list this reason as a towable offense. It cost me $440 that I am trying to get refunded. They can also tow you if your car gets a flat over night for a small fee of $220 per vehicle. I am outraged at them. My lease runs out towards the end of November 2009. I will not be renewing it. They will not see me again!!
