If you choose to live at Canterbury Apartments, you are making the biggest mistake of your life. When I moved into the apartment complex, I thought I was moving into a great establishment. The first week i was here, I noticed that I had a squirrel problem. There was a squirrel nest in the closet in my bedroom where the ac/heat unit is located. The door to that room was supposed to be locked and it wasn't. I reported the problem to the main office and they did absolutely nothing to fix it. While they were at their peaceful home, I was dealing with squirrels screaming and fighting in my vents. It took the apartment complex a month to finally take care of the problem. I had to go to top management, the ceo, to get the problem fixed. The apartment complex has no sense of urgency for anything. Another reason not to stay here is the washer and dryers that are located in the 2nd floor of each building. They are old and absolutely disgusting. Just recently, I had some clothes stolen out of the dryer by another tenant located in the same building. The apartment complex looks nice on the outside and in a great location, but on the inside it is a dump. The kitchen cabinets are composed of three different kinds of wood and the paint job is a complete disaster. The company put more money into the leasing office than they did to the actual apartments. I promise you that you will be very disappointed if you choose to live here. What a joke! I still live here, but it's not by choice. I recently relocated to Baltimore for a job and money is pretty tight. If I had a choice, I would pack up my bags, pay the $500 termination fee and find a better place to live.

You can get out of the lease the next time by filing a lawsuit against them and having the funds put in arbitration. The squirrel issue was a health hazard and you could have gotten out then. I had a rat infestation and they had to let me out because of the health department
