Don't live here

I know most postings on such a board are for ranting, rather than raving, and it's good to get a mixture of both but I felt that I had to share because I had such a miserable experience. I was one of the first people to move into the apartment complex when it opened. I was lured to the place with promises that a coffee shop, a movie theater, a Mortons-type steak restaurant and other restaurants were opening in a couple months and that there was this huge revitalization going on. I lived there for a year and it's been nearly four months after I moved out and like a previous poster noted, the only new business in the area is a 7-11.
Further, because some of the buildings were converted from older buildings the place had tons of problems. Noise was a huge factor. Living in an apartment you have to deal with noise issues, but this was over the top because of poor design. Noise from rowdy people in the garage on Friday and Saturday nights was also a problem.
The maintenance staff were rude when called for emergency situations when they were 'off-duty'. While home one day from work I heard one of the maintenance staff outside my window cursing and yelling at a construction worker.
I would just have to say that living here was probably the worst experience of my life. When you live somewhere you want to feel comfortable and feel at home. I certainly didn't feel that way here.
