I have lived here for over a year after moving to Baltimore.
Centerpoint's #1 priority is $$$ profit $$$.
Everything else comes next.
Everyone I know has either moved out or is moving out after their lease is up.
My neighbors (who had moved out several months ago) had their packages lost by Centerpoint 3 times (the 'concierge' is where all our packages go).
My friend moved out of Centerpoint before my neighbors did and was mislead by Centerpoint before signing the lease.
You may read their review on this site titled "untrustworthy management".
Bozzuto or Avalon- doesn't matter, I lived through both and would not stay either way.
I had initially written an ok review of this place before, but after having lived there longer, I plan on moving out as soon as my lease ends.
Customer service is not as much of a concern here- you can tell when interacting with the leasing office people that #1 is money, saving $, getting and keeping our $.
I have lived in various apartments a large part of my life, at least 7 or 8 different places, and none have left such a bad metallic taste in my mouth as this place-- at least the other places made me FEEL as if more than just getting my money mattered.
Once you sign the lease and so long as you pay them, that's the main concern.
Parking is expensive- when asked, they verified it by stating that they were keeping up at same price level as other parking garages in the area and are remaining at a "competitive" rate.
However, apts run by Southern Management in the same downtown area charge less for parking.
Even the Atrium which is one block down from Centerpoint charges less.
Building material is cheap- from the carpet to the windows, the thin dry wall, and the cheap pipes that bust and flood easily.
I have seen and heard of several various floods in the complex- from the older Tower to the "new and renovated" Eutaw building.
When describing some of the events that happened here to me and my old neighbors/friends to other apt complexes that my friends recommended to me (while apt hunting for a new place), they were shocked.
One leasing manager from a different apt complex couldn't believe it, "Centerpoint' Where Bank of America is' They did what'!!!''".
Oh yes.
Now that I know people who live here, I am selectively checking out the apts that my friends/coworkers recommend.
Centerpoint recommends renters' insurance not b/c of concern for the tenants, but b/c of liability issues for themselves.

They actually require you to provide proof of renter's insurance - liability issues for themselves is exactly why they do it. They also make you provide your bank account for a direct withdrawal of your rent payment. Either that or send your check to VA Beach and hope it gets there on time. There is nothing competitive about the parking rate. It's the same or more than any other garage in the city - and this rate is for tenants! You would think tenants would get a little break on the rate - seeing as how they live there and already pay too much for rent!

The main point of my review is to warn people before they decide to move in. This place is horrible and four people in the last two weeks have moved out on my floor. I am doing the same shortly.
