There are two major problem areas with this building. Number one is it is old and things do not work so well. Number two is the attitude of the front office staff.

Number one:
The elevators break down A LOT. This is the absolute worse place I've ever, ever lived. The staff do not care that the elevators breakdown so often. We go weeks with only 2 out of three elevators working for a 30 story apartment. Tonight, August 1st, is the final straw. It is 10:44 at night at ALL the elevators are broke in this building' Why because they never fix them right the first time or at all. Why' Because they are too cheap and lazy to have things fixed on the weekends or at night when it costs more money. I just had to walk up fifteen flights of stairs. With packages. This is absolutely ridiculous, unacceptable and there is no good reason for it. Oh, and when there are only two elevators working, they allow their maintenance staff and construction workers in the building to turn one off for their person use so they aren't inconvenienced. Their convenience is much, much more important than the tenants. Be prepared to wait 5 to 10 minutes (no, really) for an elevator during the morning and evening when most people are leaving for or coming home from work. And, when the elevator (only one working comes) it's often already too full of people for you to get on. But, hey, the property manager isn't bothered so it's like a big f-you, tenants!

Due to the problems in the basement, the fire alarms go off A LOT. There is also an increase to false alarms due to the shady characters they've been allowing to move in from the ghetto.

There are major problems with water pressure and hot water.


Number two:
The front office staff have two things to offer you: a bad attitude and a lot of lies.
Do not ever, ever question them about anything. You will be screamed at, particularly by the property manager herself.

Additionally the neighborhood is horrible loud with all kinds of construction. The block is surrounded by major demolition and reconstruction. It often BEGINS at 6 a.m. in the morning and ends late at night (around 10). It's absolutely ridiculous that this is allowed to go in where people live. It's been going on for MONTHS.

The problem with the property manager is that she is unable to listen to any voice but her own, understandable in that she seems incapable of speaking at a volume lower than a bellow. She lies so much to the tenants that it is doubtful that she knows the difference between the truth and one of her self-serving fictions. If it weren't for her and the ugly tone she sets, this place wouldn't be nearly so bad.
