I like my apt I have a great view from my windows and all my guests have commented on it. Awesome that utilities are included and I love that there is a free gym down stairs because I can't pay for a gym membership right now, but if you can....brick bodies is next door. The superfresh and urban cellars down stairs have totally spoiled me. Although I only did the movie night a couple of times, I still think it is cool that they offer it to residents. I am happy with the new windows and I am glad that I now have screens. I love that it is in the part of town that is serviced by the downtown partnership that makes the whole place clean and safe.

The water pressure and temp is awesome. This is not to be overlooked. Lots of closet space...sort of enables my pack rat tendencies but it is nice. I never had problems with pests. The location is wonderful; it is walking distance to Mt Vernon and the inner harbor.

Shameless plug for Charm City Cupcakes which is a block away and is probably my favorite thing in all of Baltimore (which isn't to disparage Baltimore, but to promote Charm City Cupcakes!)

The things that were no so wonderful include the fire alarms. I have ear plugs tucked away all over my apartment now because after the first 4 false alarms, I have taken to ignoring them. This is a problem in two ways: one, it is noisy and annoying and as likely as not going off in the middle of the night and two if there really was a fire, I would burn to a cinder because I don't respond to the alarms anymore. Constant construction going on outside (another reason for the ear plugs). Parking ranges from non-existant to very expensive. The elevators are unreliable.

There are other small things I would prefer, like I prefer gas stoves to electric and I prefer having two complete sets of keys (one for guests) but Charles Towers give you two keys to your apt but only one to the building making it is sort of a pain in the neck when guests stay with you. But as I said, over all I am very happy with this place.

Look, you had a bad experience that's fine. I get it. But I assure I am not now and have never been in the rental industry in any way what so ever nor am I in any way related to, friends with, invested in, or particularly interested in the success or failure of this property. I am a renter trying to provide information to other renters. You should try to lighten up and not respond negatively to other posters just because they have a different experience than yours. You make this too personal. Either way your grudge is not my problem.

I have to agree with the earlier response. If you are not a member of the staff patting yourself on the back, then you are very fortunate not to have had any dealings with these unhappy, angry people. The office staff conducts every conversation as though it is an attack and responds accordingly. Why Southern Management employs people like this as its representatives to its tenants is a mystery.

I have signed the lease with the apartment recently.I feel that staff is quite rude, they want you to be there all the time and want to sign documents for them again and again. Why cant they do it once ? I feel the staff is immature.They pass on things to other members and the other member of the staff doesnt know where the prevous member left his work. They are immature in coordination.
