Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I will moving here at the end of the month due to a job and since I always use this website to find apts I will write a real review of Dunhill.
Pros:
-My one bedroom was huge and it had a small storage closet. This for under 800 is a deal to me!
- I've never seen any mice or roaches. There were these little black bugs that I kept seeing for like 2 weeks, maybe silverfish. But then all of a sudden they disappeared.
- Where I live is quiet, although the sound of Liberty Rd can be kind of loud with the cars, but you get used to it. I rarely hear other people in thier apartments.
- They installed all new windows and sliding doors, which kept out some of the sound.
- There is a pool and ample parking.
- The area is diverse, some may not like that, but I love it!
- At the high school there is a nice track that alot of people are at on the weekends jogging.
Cons:
- The apartments are kind of old. In my apartment alot of things seemed backwards. Like the lightswiches, locks, etc.
- The kitchen does not have alot of counter space. For people like me, who cook, That was the thing I didn't like about my apt.
- No washer/Dryer. Its down stairs in a locked laundry room for $1.50 a load.
- For about most of my time here a large man lived above me and I could hear his every move! It was so annoying and they didn't do much about it. But he moved out and someone is in there now and I rarely hear them.
-Some of the parking lots are very narrow. I had my car bumper hit twice. The first time a woman left a note and there was minimal damage so that actually worked out because we used her insurance. The 2nd time, no note and big damage. I ended up having to use my insurance to fix it. I suggest parking where there are no spots parallel to it.
** Overall I enjoyed living here. I never had major problems, felt safe and liked my apartment. For the size, it is worth it. Don't be intimidated by the Liberty Road Area, its fine. If you are trying to save money and don't want to sacrifice alot, this is the place for you!**
