For the past 2 years, my roommate and I have lived in the same apartment, and must admit, the apartment itself was nice - it was a nice layout, there were never issues with mice or bugs, and noise was never an issue. The one recurring problem we did have, though, was with leaks in the apartment that maintenance would come to repair (eventually) but would sometimes have green and black mold growing in addition to the horrible smell that would radiate throughout the entire apt. The last leak we had was the tip of the iceberg - Fairways at Towson contracted with R&G Plumbing to repair and replace a pipe in our place that ran the entire width of the apartment. The plumbers who came were there all day, for about 7 hours, working on everything, and when they finally left, they were also able to STEAL an iPod w/ the earbuds and adapter; a digital camera w/ the charger; 2 diamond rings; a Fossil watch; hundreds of dollars worth of tools; and batteries. What did good ol' Fairways do' At first they were very apologetic and couldn't believe what happened, but within a few days, their demeanor had changed and my roommate and I were now the culprits. Basically, management at Fairways at Towson allows for companies they contract with and take insurance with to come into your apartment, rummage through your personal things, help themselves to the food and drinks in your fridge, oh, and take your belongings. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Management is deceiving and CANNOT be trusted - as long as they get their rent money from you, they do not care that you do not feel safe in your own apartment, and heaven forbid you ask to get out of your lease.
