Okay, I cannot help but laugh at NikkiMStinson's post. She claims to have read the other postings, then has the nerve to say did anyone bother to introduce the problems to the staff at fairways. YES, Nikki, if you CLEARLY read the other postings you would see that renters did complain and nothing was done. Obviously, you didn't take the time to read the postings.

Sadly, Nikki is probably some made up account by the "ladies" in the main office. I rented at Fairways for one year. I paid $1050 per month for a second floor one bedroom. I graduated from law school and broke the lease because someone broke into my apartment. I had jewelry, a flat screen tv, laptop, and various other items stolen. I filed a police report, and no one was ever apprehended. I brought this situation to the Fairways attention and they said "how terrible" -- yes, how terrible to have your apartment broken into. The person broke in through the front door. They gaine access to my building by the front door. The front doors do not have locks, so anyone can walk right in.

I would suggest renting somewhere else. There are a lot of nicer and more safe places around Towson. Also, if you plan on renting at Fairways, I would not suggest living alone.

To the person who said we are wasting time. Obviously, so are you. You took the time to write something. These are true stories from the people who live and have lived there. The management make up accounts and pretend to be renters to make this place more appealing. I told my TRUE story about how my apartment was broken into. Sorry if you think the truth is negative and a waste of people's time. I guess people should just move into the fairways and have their home broken into like I did. AND-- I am an attorney, I can take care of myself, thank you.

Okay really though...I am far from made up. In fact if any of the anonymous cowards that have something to say about MY OPINION, which I am entitled to have I would love the opportunity to meet with them. For someone who is an attorney you are truly devoting a lot of time to refute my feelings...Is work slow????

I agree that NikkiMStinton is a made up fool. My ex- in laws used to live in Fairways in the 80s. It was a whole different experience back then. I almost moved there as my first apartment in 1991 but ended up changing plans. It was a nice clean area at the time. Now I constantly see Lachlan Circle in the crime beat listings and stay away. I find it appalling that someone not only broke into your apartment but came in through the front door! Must be some cheap locks. I would be devastated if that happened to me, especially since I have 2 beloved parrots that would probably be stolen by thugs and sold. The old Glenmont was nice but sorry Fairways is for thugs anymore.

I started following this as a blog because I can't believe how moronic these listings are. People view these forums for general information and insight. Much like ripoff report.com and other sites only negative people respond. If someone takes the time to write a negative review then generally something bad has occured. In this forum, I believe people will not take ownership of their own problems. Stop being negative and wasting peoples times when obviously you can't take of yourself.

If you go to the top of the screen and click "Baltimore Apartments" and then sort by % recommended, there are tons of apartments reviewed on this site that are highly recommended??some with close to 30 reviews and 95% recommended rates. I know there is a self selection issue with sites like this, but it should inform that something might be up if so many people took the time to write these negative reviews. I wrote one myself several years ago when my wife and I moved out. I have since managed a hotel downtown with 750 rooms, so I understand the inherent skewing in customer satisfaction survey information. Reviews are invariably skewed to the negative. In this case, though, you really have to consider that the positive experiences that real people like Nikki had may have been the exception, and not the typical experience. Nikki, while I applaud your willingness to forgo internet anonymity, please be careful using your full name (especially considering you have stated that you make good money) if you do actually still live in the community. I know it??s not a war zone or anything there, but better safe than sorry.
